Youth at KPC

The emphasis in youth ministry at Kortright is relationships — with Jesus and each other. The junior group (grades 7 – 8) meets on Thursday evenings for fun, games, snack and devotions. There’s also a Sunday School class for junior youth during the 11 a.m. service. Throughout the year, there are additional activities such as campfires and retreats.

Senior youth (grades 9-12) meets on Wednesday evenings at the church for games, snacks and teaching. There’s an emphasis on building significant relationships within smaller groups of youth and leaders. This year, our senior youth are gearing up for a mission trip to Ecuador. There are also retreats and a few other fun events throughout the year. A strength of Kortright’s youth ministry is the mentoring program, which pairs youth with mature adult volunteers from the congregation for one-on-one discipleship.
