What to Expect
Sunday is a time of worship, connection and good coffee!
Our service is typically 1 hour and 15 minutes long. In the sanctuary, the service starts with a gathering song, announcements, call to worship, 3 worship songs, prayer, reflective song, gospel reading from the bible, a message to follow, prayer and closing a song. There is an opportunity to receive prayer from a prayer minister after the service.
Kortright Church is a welcoming, family-like community. Feel free to “come as you are” with your questions, hopes and aspirations. Our church is big on relationships, hearing God's word, and living out our faith in our local neighbourhood. Our current goal is to have 80% of our congregation would be meeting in small groups to study the Scriptures - and we're almost there!
Worship at our services includes a variety of music styles from the more traditional to contemporary.
Children in Worship
We include children in the worship part of our service to teach and be an example of our faith community. Children are dismissed for their own programs just before the message is delivered. Learn more
Our church owns a former elementary school building, so we have plenty of room for services, group activities and summer corn roasts!
Most Sundays from September to May KPC holds two Worship Services at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Nursery and Children's programs are available at both services.
10:30 am - COFFEE TIME
Between the 9:00 am and 11:00 am services we gather in the Library for refreshment and conversation. If you are attending the 11:00 am service please come early and join us.
SINGLE SERVICE SUNDAYS - 10:00 am
On the 5th Sunday of the month, over Christmas and New Years, Easter, and preceding our annual general meeting in February, we combine our two services into a single service at 10:00 am. Nursery and children's programs are available. Changes to service times will be announced on our website and Facebook Page.
